Matilda Jane

I just love Matilda Jane! So much so that I am considering hosting another show at my house this season. If you live in Tulsa or close to Tulsa, leave me a comment and let me know if you would be interested in coming! If I do have one there will be a drawing for a free photo session! The fabrics this year are killer (I am smitten by the babushka dress and ruffle leggings), Denise designed some of them herself. I was so excited when I saw a link to my website on the MJ website! It has brought tons of traffic to it ;)

Leave a comment if you want a party! Thanks :)

A day in the life.

I slept in until eight.

Kissed Tristan goodbye.

Kissed the kids good morning.

Poured a cup of coffee.

Skipped breakfast.

Forgot to take my vitamins.

Read some blogs.

Heated my coffee up.

Gave the kids a snack.

Talked to my MIL.

Left a message for my FIL at work for my MIL.

Called my SIL to get her home number.

Called MIL at SIL's home and talked about Home school until FIL called her back.

Started Bella's home school.

Filled up the sink with water and bubbles for Jude. He played with his action figures in it.

Read "How the Whale Got His Throat" by Rudyard Kipling to Bella. Then read some poetry to her.

Folded some laundry.

Called Tristan. Made lunch plans.

Got dressed. Got the kids dressed.

Hopped in the car. We sang all the way to Taco Bell.

Ordered our food. Drove back through b/c they forgot a few things.

Had lunch with Tristan. Discussed our garden plans for 09'.

Went to Target. Didn't buy much. Spent too much money.

Came home. Let the dog out.

Put a movie on for the kids.

Checked my e-mail. Looked on Etsy.

Watched part of the movie with the kids. Made them popcorn.

Checked my e-mail again. Realized I had gotten out of a triplet photo shoot in OKC!

Painted Jude's arm.

Painted a tattoo n Bella's arm. Took pictures.

Tristan came home. Hugged everyone. Put batteries in Jude's remote control racer.

They all played in the kitchen with the remote control racer while I tried to cook dinner.

I suggested they play with it outside to which they agreed. They took Fiona for a walk.

My BFF Kim called. I listened to music, talked and make guacamole. Finished the tortilla soup.

Family came home. We ate. The kids had popsicles.

Tristan bathed the kids. I cleaned up the kitchen.

Then I picked up bedrooms and put some laundry away. The kids brushed teeth.

Tristan put Jude to bed. I put Bella to bed. We said our prayers.

I sat down. Tristan went to fix the bathroom tile.

Realized some of our 50 year old tile was missing and broken.

We decided to put a new floor in the bathroom. We both sat down.

We had ice cream. I didn't eat much. I was craving key lime pie.

Mamaw called. Tristan went to bed. I watched Twister. I got on Face book.

I blogged. I went to bed too late again. Dreamed off Key Lime Pie.

Now I challenge all bloggers reading this to do the same :) Leave a comment if you do! I would love to read it :)

Guess who got inked?

Alias's (Is that a word?)

Well folks, it finally happened...we have a loose tooth in this house. We also have a really happy six year old who would just love for you to wiggle it ;) If any of you know Bella and know how the last year has been, you will know that she has been waiting for this moment her whole life. I think it was about a year ago that she first informed us that her tooth was loose. When she announced it this morning, that her tooth was in fact "really" loose this time I stuck my finger in her mouth without haste and proceeded to test it out. About 5 seconds later, 5 seconds of the willies that is, I declared that Yes! her tooth was in fact loose! We jumped up and down and screamed and laughed. Now what? In reality, Tristan and I think that loose teeth are pretty gruesome. Hopefully that little bud underneath will just push it out otherwise I will have to call on the Weiss clan for a little help ;) Amanda you better hope it's out before Friday!

On another note, Tristan has been hinting around lately that he would like some Scotch eggs. Well...me not being British and all, googled it and found a recipe hoping this particular recipe would be just like his mums and not Americanized. So, I boiled some eggs. Turns out, if you boil eggs too long the yolks edge turns green. Hmmmm....what to do? Well, I told Tristan that the thought of making these eggs and having to fry something grossed me out (made me want to throw up were my exact words). What happened next you ask? The man googled "how to boil eggs?" He then proceeded to tell Me, how to hard boil an egg. You know what I said? "Why don't you Google how to do your laundry!"

I love my camera again.

I have been in a sort of camera lull this past winter...the thought of picking up my trusty camera has been very daunting and at times scary. I've lost my craft and need some inspiration. I forget that there are times of inspiration and things of beauty and things pleasing to the eyes in Oklahoma. I just need to get off the couch and go find it! Now that spring is fast approaching that's just what I am going to do. IN the meantime I snuck the kids outside Saturday for a few snapshots.

Now off to Whole Foods for some groceries, Wal-Mart for some cheaper groceries and lots of laundry to do :) Have a great Monday!

oldies but goodies...

I was editing some old photos yesterday of Judo. Tristan took one look at them and said "I'm going to cry". The man just doesn't cry much so I know he misses our monkeys being little (he didn't actually cry by the way). Speaking of monkeys, we went to the zoo last Friday, just the kids and I. The zoo had some chimp babies born within in this last year. They are still pretty small and so cute. There was a group of preschoolers, hands flat against the glass, lined up in a row. One of the baby chimps would walk right up to the glass and put his hands on theirs mimicking their every move. It was pretty amazing. He was a feisty little thing ;)

So...we're off to Playhouse Disney Live in a few hours...the kids have no idea ;) Have a great Sunday!

A Little Bit of Nothin'

That's what we've been up to.

I'm loving this song right now.

We were supposed to see these guys (I'll just watch this and pretend I was there) in Memphis tommorow. Unfortunately we forgot we had tickets to this so that is where we'll be, it's bitter sweet really. Watching the kids faces light up is worth it ;)

We did get tickets to see this guy in March! We almost went to Chicago to see him last year...good thing we waited b/c he's coming to T-Town. Iy would have been nice to visit our other home though, get some Giordano's pizza, walk to the grocery store in 4 feet of snow and then up 3 flights of stares to our apartment...nah...the pizza would be good though.

I ran across this picture today and ran a vintage action on it in photo shop. I like it, actually I love it b/c it looks old.

Poor Kid

This is so funny! Poor kid!
